Phidon Pens first opened its doors in September 2008 at 63 Dickson Street. Ten years later, we are still amazed by the passionate community who have continued to visit us, and ever grateful for the support you have all given to us. What an incredible decade it has been!
On this occasion, we would like to invite friends old and new to come join us in celebrating our 10th anniversary on September 14th & 15th, 2018. There will be lots of gifts and prizes to be won, not to mention the many fun events we have planned. We will bring in experienced calligraphers and nibmeisters from the local pen community to demonstrate how you can get the most out of your treasured pens. Reps from some of the brands we carry at Phidon will be on-site to show off special products and answer your questions.
Special guests also include Dr. Catherine Wilson from the University of Guelph, who will be giving a talk titled "True Stories of Love and Loss: The Rural Diary Archive". Her presentation will feature the writing of over 160 diarists from across Ontario, their blank books, Spencerian script and their stories of love and loss. It will also briefly take the audience behind the scenes at the Rural Diary Archive where handwriting is being honoured and preserved.
As is tradition, we will be running our hugely anticipated anniversary sale as well. Purchases made in-store of all in-stock items* during the anniversary weekend will be eligible for a 30%-off discount.
Come join us for coffee and tea next weekend! We look forward to seeing each and everyone of you!
*Discount does not apply to exclusive items from our Tenth Anniversary collections. These exclusions include the limited edition inks from Diamine and Robert Oster, as well as products from MacLellan Books and our own Inky Nib collection.
